Dear customer,
Thank you for purchasing this Brabantia Cookware item.
Below you can find the most important care & use instructions to consider and information on what to do (and not do) before, during and after using the cookware item.
A. Before First Use
Remove all paper and labels. If needed, the glue is easily removable by using Acetone or plain vegetable oil.
Wash your new cookware in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Check the compatibility of your hob by checking the symbols displayed on the packaging or in the catalogue.
If needed, bakelite handles may be tightened with a #2 Philips head screwdriver.
B. During Use
Never allow your cookware to boil dry! If this happens, turn off the heat immediately and do not remove the cookware from the stovetop until it has cooled down.
Remember to use low to medium heat, especially for slow cooking! Thanks to the fast and efficient heat conductivity of the materials used, cooking on medium or lower temperature is sufficient and energy saving. High heat may damage or discolor your cookware and continually overheating may cause food to burn.
Pre- or dry heating is not advised, as this will overheat your cookware due to the rapid speed of (induction) cookers. If you still decide to pre- or dry heat your cookware item, please use care while doing so.
Attention: cooking on an induction stove develops an extremely intense heat in a very short time. Cookware heats up very quickly.
Please note that under certain circumstances noise may occur, which is due to the electromagnetic properties of the heat source and the cooking utensil.
Be careful when frying with oil.
Place your cooking utensil in the center of a hob, of which the diameter of the heat source is not larger than the diameter of the base of the cookware. For example, cookware with a diameter of 20 cm can best be used on a cooking ring with a diameter smaller than 20 cm.
Always lift cookware from the hob. Never drag or slide it, as this can damage the surface.
Although all handles are designed to minimize heat transfer, oven gloves are recommended; especially when cookware is placed in the oven.
For safety reasons, cookware should never be left unattended when cooking.
Steam must be able to escape through the air vent hole of the (glass) lid (if applicable).
Always use wooden or plastic utensils. Avoid the use of metal or sharp objects. The guarantee does not cover damage to the surface and/or coating if it is caused by scratching.
A little bit of oil & butter is needed during cooking, spread the oil or butter over the entire bottom of the pan.
C. After Use
Always let cookware cool off before placing in water.
Cookware is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand wash. Prolonged and frequent use in the dishwasher may damage the non-stick properties. This is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by the guarantee. However, if you prefer to place your cookware in a dishwasher, we recommend proper care after the dishwasher cycle (properly dry and store your cookware).
Some dishwashing detergents contain chemical products and/or salts that may affect the surface and cause irreversible discoloration and/or corrosion. This is considered normal wear and tear.
In some case, rainbow stains or small white dots may appear. These are a result of a combination of a thin film of food residues, on the surface, and a specific light reflection. These can easily be cleaned away by use of vinegar or any kind of specialized cookware cleaner.
Always dry your cookware well after washing to avoid oxidation.
Remove burnt-on foods by soaking for a few minutes. If scrubbing is necessary, use a nylon pad with warm, soapy water or a non-abrasive silicate based cleanser.
If stacked, position a sheet of paper inside the pan to avoid scratches or damage, or use pan protectors.
D. Never
Use chlorine cleansers or bleach.
Use steel wool, sharp objects or scouring powder to remove stubborn bits of food, as these may scratch the surface.
Add salt to cold water or leave very salty food standing in your cookware.
Pour cold liquid into a hot utensil.
Use this item in a microwave oven.
E. Guarantee does not apply to
